What a creative way to use two bar links together! You can easily switch out the beads to feature colors you love.

The beautiful focal at the center of this necklace comes together with beaded links between two TierraCast bar links. This creates a wonderful statement piece that can be used as a pendant as shown here, or even as chandeliers in earrings. Tracy used chain swag at the bottom for added interest. You can add more dangles to the bottom to match the links in the middle, too. You can learn how to make this focal with our instructions here and our video tutorial.

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut five pieces of 24 gauge Silver Artbeads Designer Wire approximately four inches long each. Set aside.

Attach one piece of wire to the first opening on a TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter ethnic bar link by making a wrapped loop. Add a 4mm round pearl in Crystal Iridescent Dark Blue to the wire, followed by an TierraCast antique silver ethnic short bead, and another pearl. Attach this end of the wire to the first opening on another bar link by making a wrapped loop.

Repeat step two for the next four openings on the bar links.

Slide a pearl onto a Bali head pin with granulation and attach it to the center opening on the bottom of your focal by making a wrapped loop.

Cut two lengths of antique silver-plated curb chain approximately 1 1/2 inches long each. Attach both chains to the opening at one side of your dangle using a TierraCast silver-plated brass medium oval open jump ring. Attach the other ends of the chains to the opening on the other side of the dangle using an oval jump ring.

Cut a length of curb chain approximately two inches long. Attach the end of the chain to the outer opening on one side at the bottom of your focal using a jump ring. Attach the other end to the outer opening on the other side at the bottom of your focal using a jump ring.

Cut a length of silver-plated 3+1 medium round and oval link chain approximately nine inches long. Attach it to the outer opening on one side at the top of your focal using a jump ring. Attach half of the TierraCast antique rhodium bar and ring clasp set to the end of the chain using a jump ring. Repeat this step on the other side of the focal to complete your necklace.
