Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut an arm's length of thread and add a stopper bead to the thread, leaving a tail approximately eight inches long. String 50 Preciosa Czech glass 4x11mm California blue Chilli beads onto the length of thread, making sure to use the stringing hole on the end of the bead.

Thread the needle through the second stringing hole of the last bead added. Lay the strand on your work surface and position the beads into an alternating pattern, so that the points face out opposite from the next bead in the pattern. Add a TOHO 8/0 metallic dark navy iris bead round between the alternating beads on one side, going through the second stringing hole every time.

Once you have added the last seed bead on one side and your thread is coming out of the last chilli bead, add six seed beads to the strand and then go through the second stringing hole of the end bead on the other side. Add a seed bead between the alternating beads as you did on the first side.

When you get to the end of this side, add six seed beads to the strand and go through the second stringing hole of the end bead on the other side. Weave the thread through some beads and knot to secure. Repeat knotting as necessary to secure. Bring the thread out of the seed bead in the center of the seed bead loop and add the loop component of the Nunn Design gold-plated pewter small hammered toggle clasp set. Secure the clasp to the seed beads and finish off the thread.

Bead Weaving Basics: Starting, Adding, and Ending Thread

Remove the stopper bead from the other end of the bracelet and weave the thread into the bracelet to secure. Bring the end of the thread out of the seed bead in the center of the seed bead loop and add two seed beads to the thread. Then, add the bar component of the clasp. Secure the clasp to the seed beads and finish off the thread.
