Dazzling Dance Necklace Tutorial

Cut the 11mm antique silver-plated chain maille chain to fit your neck, keeping in mind that the clasp will take up one inch of length. Our necklace measures 16 1/2 inches total. Attach the 12x5mm gunmetal-plated lobster clasp to one end using a 4.5mm gunmetal-plated 21 gauge open jump ring and a 5mm gunmetal-plated 18 gauge open jump ring linked together. Attach an 8mm gunmetal-plated 18 gauge open jump ring to the other end of the chain using 5mm 18 gauge jump ring.

Add an 8mm jump ring to the two center links on one edge of your chain. Skip a link and then add another 8mm jump ring. Repeat two more times on one side of the center. Then, mirror this pattern on the other side of the center for a total of seven jump rings attached to your chain.

Attach an 8mm jump ring to each hole in the 28mm teardrop sew-on stone in Crystal Light Chrome. Set aside for now.

Attach a 5.5mm gunmetal-plated 21 gauge open jump ring to each hole in all seven of the 18mm teardrop sew-on stones in Crystal Light Chrome and all nine of the 12mm teardrop sew-on stones in Crystal Light Chrome. Set aside.

Thread a 6mm faceted round in Crystal Light Chrome onto a 1-inch gunmetal-plated 20 gauge eye pin and finish with a simple loop. Repeat this step three times. Set the links aside.

Thread a 6mm Crystal Light Chrome round onto a 1-inch gunmetal-plated 20 gauge head pin and finish with a simple loop. Repeat this step six times. Set the dangles aside.

Assemble the crystal teardrop chains for your necklace following the directions below. The components will be listed from the top to the bottom of each chain:

• A 12mm (small) teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, an 18mm (medium) teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, the 28mm (large) teardrop and a faceted round dangle. Attach this chain to the center jump ring on your necklace.
• A faceted round link, a medium teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, a small teardrop, and a faceted round dangle. Repeat this pattern once and attach these chains to the jump ring to each side of the center.
• A faceted round link, a small teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, a medium teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, a small teardrop and a faceted round dangle. Repeat this pattern once. Attach these chains to the jump rings on each side of the previous chains.
• A medium teardrop, a 5mm jump ring, a small teardrop and a faceted round dangle.

Repeat once. Attach these chains to far outside jump rings on the necklace.

Link together four 4.5mm jump rings into a chain. Repeat once. Set aside.

Link together five 4.5mm jump rings into a chain. Repeat five times. Set aside.

Link together six 4.5mm jump rings into a chain. Repeat once.

Use these jump ring chains to connect between the crystal chains:

• Use one five-link chain between the second and third teardrop chain from the left. Attach one end to the first 5.5mm jump ring in the second teardrop chain and attach the other end to the first 5.5mm jump ring in the next teardrop chain over.
• Attach one end of a five-link chain to the first 5.5mm jump ring in the same teardrop chain and attach the other end to the first 5mm jump ring in the center teardrop chain. Mirror these links for the rest of this row.
• For the next row of chain links, attach one end of a four-link chain to the first 5mm jump ring in the first teardrop chain on the left and attach the other end to the first 5mm jump ring in the next teardrop chain over.
• Attach one end of a five-link chain to the first 5mm jump ring in the same teardrop chain and attach the other end to the first 5mm jump ring in the next teardrop chain over.
• Attach one end of a six-link chain to the first 5mm jump ring in the same teardrop chain and attach the other end to the second 5mm jump ring in the center teardrop chain. Mirror these links for the rest of this row.

Your necklace is now assembled and complete
