Thread wrapping creates a colorful and organic look in this leather bracelet. The beautiful embroidery floss brings the strands of leather together and allows you to easily add your favorite beads at the center of the design. Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Fold a length of Leather Cord USA 3mm natural light brown round leather in half. Loop embroidery floss (found at the local craft store) through the shank of the Czech glass 18mm turquoise green with copper finish round sunflower button and around the fold in your leather a couple of times. Knot the embroidery floss under the fold of the leather, leaving a small tail.

Wrap your embroidery floss around the leather.

When you are ready to add beads to the bracelet, thread your embroidery floss onto a big eye needle. You will wrap your thread around the leather in the same manner, making sure to add either a fire-polished 6mm rose and topaz luster bead or a fire-polished 6mm opaque red bronze luster bead between the leather strands. Add about nine fire-polished beads in this manner.

Wrap Bracelet Tips

Finish wrapping your bracelet the same way you started. When you have finished wrapping, knot the thread to secure it to the leather. Put the tail of the floss on the needle once more and tuck it into the wraps. Secure and trim.

Make a knot in your leather strands near the end of your thread wrapping. Leave a space wide enough for the button to pass through and knot the leather again. Trim the ends of your leather to your liking.
