Star Ornament

Thread the TOHO 8/0 silver-lined crystal bead rounds onto the star wire form from The Beadsmith wire shape assortment pack. Please note for all of the ornaments that you'll want the coverage of beads on the wire to be a little bit loose, or spread out, because when you wrap the rows of fire-polished beads to the inside of the frame, the beads on the frame come closer together and the coverage is tighter. If you find that the beads are becoming too tight as you add the fire-polished beads, you can break seed beads as necessary with a pair of pliers. Our frame has 126 seed beads on it. Once you have added your seed beads, bend the frame ends and trim to secure the beads.

Use a piece of wire to secure the two ends of the frame together.

Cut a piece of wire approximately 18 inches long. Wrap it onto the wire frame between two beads, just to one side of one of the star points. Add a fire-polished 4mm bead in silver to the wire. This bead should fill the tip of the star point. Then, wrap the wire around the other side of the frame to secure this bead in place. Wrap the wire between seed beads until you are two seed beads away from where the first fire-polished bead is wrapped. Add two fire-polished beads to the wire and secure to the opposite side of the frame. Continue adding rows of fire-polished beads to fill the point. We finished with a row of five fire-polished beads.

Repeat step three to fill in the other points with fire-polished beads.

Wrap a few fire-polished beads around the spot where the ends of the frame come together to hide the wires.

Bell Ornament

Add the TOHO 6/0 antique bronze bead rounds to the bell wire form. Our frame has 95 seed beads on it. Trim the ends of the wire and fold over to secure the beads. Use a piece of wire to connect the two ends together.

Wrap rows of 4mm and 6mm fire-polished beads in gold and smoky topaz luster, bronze, opaque red bronze luster, and light topaz celsian to the inside of the frame as desired.

Heart Ornament

Add seed beads from the Artbeads Rose Gold Designer Blend to the heart wire form. Our frame has 158 seed beads on it. Trim the ends of the wire and fold over to secure the beads. Use a piece of wire to connect the top of the heart together where the two sides touch.

Starting at the point of the heart, add a length of wire to frame. Put three 4mm fire-polished beads in crystal and copper onto the wire. Wrap them to the other side of the seed bead at the point of the heart, on the outside of the frame. Add one bead to the inside of the point in the same manner.

Wrap the wire between seed beads until you are three seed beads over from the point. Add three fire-polished beads to the wire and secure to the outside of the frame five seed beads over. Then, add one fire-polished bead and secure to the inside of the frame three seed beads over. Continue adding beads in this manner for this half of the heart, until you reach the inside swirl. Repeat on the other half of the heart.

To decorate the inside swirls at the top of the heart, add five fire-polished beads to the wire, form a loop inside one of the swirls and twist to secure the loop. Wrap the end of the wire around the frame to move to the other swirl. Make another loop of five fire-polished beads and twist to secure the loop. Secure the end of the wire to the frame where the swirls touch. Add one bead to the center to hide the wire, then secure and trim.

Note: You can use the heart ornament as a decoration for Valentine's Day, too.
