These bracelets are fun and easy to make. Experiment with different buttons and even beads to make this look your own.
TierraCast makes all kinds of components that provide for easy jewelry-making projects. Their buttons can be easily wire-wrapped onto their wire bangle bracelets for a quick design that looks great. Learn how to make these bracelets with our tutorial video and then make your own variations.
Open your chosen handmade 12 gauge wire bangle bracelet by unclasping the hook from the loop at the end of the bracelet. We offer these bracelets in silver-plated brass, gold-plated brass, and oxidized brass.
Cut one piece of Artbeads 26 gauge Designer Wire approximately 12 inches long. We used Titanium, Gold, and Antique Copper colors for our bracelets.
Starting on the front of the bracelet and working towards the hook (away from the loop), begin wrapping your wire around the bracelet. Keep your wraps tightly coiled together.
Wrap your wire around the bracelet 15-18 times, or as much as desired, making sure you will have enough wire to wrap an equal amount of coils after adding the button. String your chosen button onto the bracelet by way of the hook end and position it next to your wire wraps. Bring your wire over the button shank and continue wrapping your wire around the bracelet on the other side of the button shank to match your first set of wire wraps.
Trim excess wire at both ends of your wraps on the underside of the bracelet. Use the front notch of crimping pliers to squeeze the trimmed ends of the wire close against the bracelet.
Adjust the position of the wire wraps and button where desired, then apply adhesive around the button shank and prop up the button where it can dry in the desired position. Allow to dry.
Repeat these steps to make as many bracelets as you like. We used the TierraCast antique silver-plated pewter Czech round button for one bracelet, and two TierraCast antique copper-plated pewter Czech square buttons and one silver-plated pewter Czech square button for another bracelet. For a third bracelet, we glued a SS34 rose flatback into a TierraCast antique gold-plated pewter beaded bezel button and added 3mm bicones to our wire wraps.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from
the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up
the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color
scheme—it’s up to you!
