These earrings layer two butterfly charms together one from Gardanne Beads and one from a Jesse James Beads Design Elements Bead Mix. The layered look brings dangling dimension to the design, and perfectly matches the colors of the Grace Lampwork beads above. These earrings are a wonderful way to herald in spring

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Link a gold-filled 20.5 gauge 5mm sparkle jump ring to the hole of the Gardanne Beads purple enameled brass butterfly charm. Add a gold-filled 20.5 gauge 6.5mm sparkle jump ring to the previous jump ring. Add a gold butterfly charm from the Jesse James Beads Design Elements Bead Mix in Lavender Lady to this jump ring using a gold-filled 14k 4.30mm open jump ring.

Slide a faceted purple roundel from the bead mix onto a 2-inch satin Hamilton gold-plated 20 gauge eye pin, followed by a Grace Lampwork 16x10mm purple swirl party rondelle bead, and another faceted purple roundel. Make a wrapped loop at the top of the beads.

Attach your butterfly dangle to the bottom of the lampwork dangle using a 4.30mm jump ring.

Open the loop of a 14K/20 gold-filled bass clef earwire. Attach it to the top of the lampwork dangle. Close the loop.

Repeat these steps to make the other earring.
