Gemstones are a great way to add fascinating color to your designs. The Dakota Stones beads on display in this necklace are a great complement to the bicones and silver tube beads. Cynthia used a focal from a gemstone pendant set at the center of this necklace. You can see how she used other pieces from the set in her Lapis Wings necklace.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 21 inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube on the end, followed by a half of the TierraCast antique silver bar and ring clasp set. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.
Repeat this pattern four times, and then add a bicone, a spacer and a piece from the Dakota Stones lapis lazuli flame pendant set. Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the lapis focal.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
