The fascinating colors found in the Dakota Stones pendant at the center of this necklace inspired Cynthia to create a color palette reminiscent of Arabian Nights. The lapis and bronzite found within the gemstone focal looks perfect with deep blue round lapis beads, Czech glass melon beads in a rich gold, and fun copper accents.

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 18 inches long. Slide a TierraCast antique copper 2x2mm crimp onto the end, followed by a 5.5mm antique copper-plated 21 gauge open jump ring. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Add a TierraCast antique copper 5mm coiled heishi spacer to the strand, followed by three Czech glass 3mm matte metallic antique gold melon beads. Repeat twice. Then, add a spacer and three Dakota Stones lapis lazuli 6mm round beads. Repeat the alternating pattern of a spacer and three Czech glass beads then a spacer and three lapis beads four times.

Add a spacer and a stone from the Dakota Stones lapis and bronzite rectangle pendant set. Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of your focal. Slide on a crimp tube and a jump ring, then bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place.

Cut a length of 3mm antique copper-plated brass double link curb chain approximately 13 1/2-inches long. Open the jump ring on one end of your necklace and add the end of the chain, followed by half of the TierraCast antique copper heirloom clasp set. Close the jump ring.

Open the jump ring on the other end of the necklace and add the other end of the chain and the other half of the clasp. Close the jump ring.
