Wedding Trends & Bridal Jewelry

First Dance

Are you getting married this year or know someone who is? As summer approaches, we’re getting more and more invites for weddings. If you’re planning your wedding or want to make something special for the bride-to-be, we’re taking a look at wedding trends, along with jewelry inspiration from our Design Studio to help you create your own bridal jewelry. Weddings are becoming increasingly personalized and there’s no better way to create unique, one-of-a-kind style then by making your own jewelry.

Floral Accents

Floral Wedding Jewelry Trends

Flowers are always a great choice for weddings, especially spring and summer affairs. Floral trends can even take on a non-traditional twist. Use our Flowers and Hearts ear climbers to add an unexpected touch of floral beauty to your wedding ensemble. Add a dangling earring to your other ear for an on-trend asymmetrical look. Our Flower Girl choker is a great piece for the bride or a flower girl – you can even wear it as a headband or circlet.

Velvet

Velvet is another trend that’s gaining popularity. We’ve seen lots of velvet bridesmaid dresses, but you can also incorporate this trend into your jewelry.

Cerise Choker

This elegant choker would make a beautiful touch to any bridal ensemble. The deep burgundy color is also perfect for the trend of darker, moodier color palettes we’re seeing more of.

Tiaras and Bold Hair Accessories

Wedding Tiaras

Maybe we’re still swooning over royal weddings from the past or maybe we never got over playing dress up as kids, but tiaras and other eye-catching hair accessories are big favorites for weddings. Making your own tiara is an amazing way to complete your wedding look. Our Princess Bride tiara is a lovely wire-wrapped creation that you can recreate for your big day. Our very own Becky made her crown for her wedding by wire-wrapping beads from the Bridal Bling and Wedding Bells Artbeads Designer Blends.

Modern Beach Bride

If you don’t want a full tiara, show-stopping headbands also make great bridal accessories. This headband is great for beach weddings, elegant black tie events, and more.

Statement Jewelry

Speaking of show-stoppers, the bold trend isn’t just for hair accessories. Lots of bridal jewelry is all about the statement – it’s not just an accent to the bridal ensemble. It completes the look!

Statement Earrings

Statement earrings are a great way to complete your wedding ensemble, especially if you have a high neckline to take into consideration. Our Dewdrops at Dawn earrings are the ultimate statement dripping in dazzling crystal. Chandelier earrings are also wonderful statement pieces and our Bride to Be earrings are  bold enough to stand out while still retaining classic bridal style.

Wedding Bracelets

Cuff bracelets are another great option for making a statement with your wedding jewelry. Our Happily Ever After bracelet features an elegant peyote stitch band nested into a gold cuff setting for a luxurious look. Classic pearls become amazingly eye-catching when paired with the statement multi-strand clasp at the center of our Eternity bracelet. You can also create some amazing beaded beads for wedding jewelry. Take inspiration from the beaded flower shapes in the bracelet featured above.

Lariats and Chokers

Lariats and chokers are becoming bridal favorites due to their versatility. They are easy to layer with other pieces and accommodate a variety of necklines.

Wedding Lariats

Our sweet Sydney lariat necklace features an infinity symbol at the center of the design, perfect for representing your everlasting love. Add a timeless touch to your trendy bridal ensemble with a pearl drop lariat - the inspiration above can help get you started. Our Devoted jewelry set features a lariat-style necklace that draws the eye thanks to the use of enameled chevron chain.

Wedding Chokers

For chokers, get inspired by our Sophia choker to add “Something Blue” to your wedding look. Our Silver Blossom chain choker is a great piece that’s sure to shine as you walk down the aisle.

We hope these trends have you thinking about your next jewelry creation, whether it’s for a wedding or just a fun night out!
