Seed Bead Size Conversion

Seed beads are often shown in "aught" size such as 11/0, which is the most common size used by seed bead jewelry makers and designers. This measurement system is used to show the diameter of the bead but it is very imprecise and often varies slightly from one manufacturer to the next. Spoken, one either says, for example, "eight aught" or simply "size eight."
