Seed beads make a swirling complement to the crystal pendant at the center of this necklace. The loopy design looks complicated, but is easy to achieve. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to make this necklace for yourself See more of this necklace in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
To create the first layer of seed beads, string 42 frosty white seed beads from the Gray Flannel 11/0 Designer Seed Bead Blend onto a 12-inch strand of beading wire and position them at the center. Thread the two ends of the wire from opposite directions through an end hole of a TierraCast rhodium-plated pewter 3 hole spacer bar to create Ring 1. For Ring 2, string 15 beads on each end of the wire and thread the ends through an end hole on a new 3 hole spacer bar. String the same amount for the Ring 3 and thread the ends through an end hole on a new 3 hole spacer bar. For Ring 4, string 16 beads per side and thread the ends of the wire through a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube. Adjust so that all of the rings are snug and secure the crimp with crimping pliers.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
