Like a solemn rain cloud filled with glistening rain drops, these tassel earrings will shower gray and silver sparkle into your style. Cynthia used an Artbeads Designer Seed Bead Blend for the perfect color palette, then add crystal for a glittering effect.

Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut a yard of FireLine. Make a knot around the loop of a sterling silver 20 gauge 1-inch eye pin. String approximately 33 seed beads from the Gray Flannel 11/0 Designer Seed Bead Blend onto the thread, followed by a 6mm pendant in Crystal Silver Night. Add another seed bead to the thread, then bring your needle back through the first 32 beads on the strand. Go back around the eye pin and back through the beads to strengthen the strand. Knot again at the eye pin to secure the strand. Repeat this step 11 more times.

String the 10mm antique silver-plated pewter flowers end cap onto the eye pin, followed by a 4mm faceted round in Crystal Silver night. Create a wrapped loop at the top of the bead. Instead of trimming the wire, wrap it around the top of the bead.

Open the loop on the sterling silver French hook earwire with ball and coil. Slide the earwire onto the wrapped loop and close the loop on the earwire. Repeat steps one through three to make the other earring.
