Some types of chain, like beading chain, features a tightly woven design. Sometimes you can't simply link to this chain with a jump ring. However, there are other beautiful ways to finish this chain. Take a look and start creating jewelry you love

Fine beading chain does not have open links to connect to. So , you can use crimp ends. Insert the chain into the crimp end and then squeeze with a pair of pliers or a crimp tool. You can also use adhesive inside the crimp end for extra security.

Finishing Chain Step 1

On some of the larger tightly woven chain, it is possible to cut and remove the links on the ends, leaving a loop. This allows you to link or connect with a jump ring. In this example, we are using our two-tone chain.

You can also use crimp ends on this type of chain. The center section crimps with the squeeze of a pair of pliers. Once again, you can use adhesive for added security. Another option is to glue the chain into an end cap.

End links can be removed on the flat version of this chain, too, leaving a single link open for attaching a jump ring.

Finally, a ribbon end is a great option for finishing flat chain. If using this type of finishing touch, be sure to secure it with adhesive.
