The color of this velvet ribbon has a minty look to it. It's a great match with Erinite Shimmer crystals. I added a Vintaj filigree painted with Patina for more detail.
This choker is a dreamy piece filled with lush details, from the refreshing sea spray touch of the velvet ribbon to the twinkling crystals in Erinite Shimmer and the intricacy of the Vintaj filigree embellishment. It will put you in mind of a magical isle shrouded in mist.
Attach the 12x7mm antique brass-plated trigger clasp to a 20mm antique brass-plated basket weave ribbon end crimp using four 6mm 18g brass jump rings with patina finish linked together.
Slide a 5mm bicone in Erinite Shimmer onto a 2-inch antique brass-plated 2mm ball end 20 gauge head pin and make a wrapped loop at the top of the bead. Attach this dangle to the other ribbon end crimp using eight jump rings linked together. Hook the trigger clasp from your other ribbon end crimp to the fifth jump ring in this chain.
Determine how much silver gray 1-inch velvet ribbon will be needed to make a choker that will fit properly with the clasp. Add about one inch to this desired length and then cut your ribbon to size.
Prepare the ends of the ribbon before adding your ribbon end crimps. Fold the corners of the ribbon down toward each other to make a triangle shape at the end of your ribbon. Stitch these folds down straight across the middle of the triangle. Add adhesive to the stitching for extra security and allow to dry. Once the adhesive is dry, cut the point of the triangle off, just above the stitch. Make sure that your ribbon end crimps cover the folded edge of the ribbon. Add more adhesive to the cut edges and allow to dry. Repeat on the other end of the ribbon. Fold each ribbon end crimp down on each end of ribbon using nylon jaw parallel pliers. Temporarily remove the jump rings from the ribbon ends if they get in the way of the pliers.
Apply the Vintaj Patinas in Moss, Verdigris, and Opalite Patina to the Vintaj natural brass scrolled ironwork filigree. You can mix the colors to your liking and dab the colors on here and there. Watch our video tutorial for applying Vintaj Patinas for more help with this technique. Reapply colors as needed and the use the Vintaj Matte Glaze to seal the colors in.
Find the center of the ribbon and stitch the filigree to the ribbon. Attach a jump ring to the top of the 22mm pear-shaped pendant in Erinite Shimmer and stitch it to the center bottom point of the filigree.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
