The Magic Finding is a simple and fun way to create multi-strand jewelry designs without the need for countless crimp tubes. The Omega Insert makes jewelry designing with the Magic Finding even easier. You can attach chains, jump rings, clasps or other components to the Omega Insert in a design that uses the Magic Finding for a quick finish. The following steps will help attach a clasp to the Omega Insert to finish your piece. Follow Steps 1 through 7 in our initial tutorial on How to Use the Magic Finding to begin your design. You may create as many strands as you like, but remember to leave two opposing holes open for the Omega Insert to fit through.

Finish your design by threading the wire through the center hole of the second Magic Finding.

Using a Magic Finding with Omega Insert Step 1

Attach your desired clasp, jump ring or other component to the Omega Insert. Simply thread one Omega Insert prong through the component's opening.

Using a Magic Finding with Omega Insert Step 2

Thread the Omega Insert through two opposing holes in the Magic Finding. Be sure to push down thoroughly to ensure it will not slip out when you crimp. You should hear a click. Also check that the prongs stick out the other side of the Magic Finding.

Cradle the Magic Finding inside the outer station of the Magic Finding Plier, the opening farthest from the handles of the pliers. Make sure it is centered.

Make sure the loop of the Omega Insert is parallel to the pliers the first time you crimp. Clamp down with the pliers to crimp the finding. You will have to push down on the Omega Insert when you crimp to prevent it from sliding up and out of the Magic Finding.

Rotate the pliers 90 degrees and crimp again. Repeat this two more times to go all the way around.

Place the finding in the second station, closest to the handles, and repeat steps 5 through 7. Firmly crimp until the jaws of the pliers are completely closed. Snip off any excess wire.
