Wire wrapping allows you to bring together beads, jump rings, and other components flawlessly. Cynthia used these pieces together in the pendant she created for this necklace. Using jump rings as the foundation for your wire-wrapping projects is a great way to ease into the technique. For more wire-working inspiration, check out this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a 12-inch piece of 26 gauge Artbeads Designer Wire in Silver. Use it to wrap a sterling silver 6mm square 20 gauge closed jump ring to the outside of the sterling silver 1x19mm stacking ring. Continue wrapping for the length of the square jump ring, and then add two more square jump rings in the same manner. Trim and tuck the ends of your wires when done.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
