Thread a needle onto a long length of beading thread and string on a 5mm pearl in Lavender. Bring your needle around half of the pearl on the outside and through the other end of the stringing hole, ensuring you leave a tail at the end of your thread. Your pearl should now be secure on the thread.

String a 9mm Crystal teardrop onto the thread, with the tapered end pointed toward the pearl. Add two Miyuki 15/0 metallic 24 Karat gold plated Delica to the thread, followed by a 4mm Violet bicone and two more Delicas. String on another Crystal teardrop with the tapered end pointed away from the pearl.

Bring your thread under the thread around your pearl. Cinch up the thread tightly so that the bead pattern on the thread folds and the last teardrop added lines up with the pearl. Bring your needle and thread back through the last teardrop in the pattern.

Add two gold Delicas, a Violet bicone, two more gold Delicas and a Crystal teardrop with the pointed end facing away from the bicone to your thread. Repeat step three. Repeat this step two more times for a total of five Crystal teardrops surrounding your pearl.

Bring your thread through the Delicas and bicones until it is coming out of the second bicone in the pattern. Add a 4mm gold vermeil daisy spacer to a gold-filled 24 gauge 1.5-inch head pin with ball end, followed by a Crystal teardrop, a TierraCast antique gold 4mm beaded bead cap, a daisy spacer, a beaded bead cap, a Violet bicone, a TierraCast antique gold 4mm scalloped bead cap and a gold Delica. Create a simple loop at the top of this bead pattern.

Add three gold Delicas to your thread, followed by the dangle you created in the previous step and three more Delicas. Bring your thread through the third bicone in the beaded pattern around the pearl and through the three Delicas, the last bicone, the rest of the Delicas and the first Crystal teardrop in the pattern.

Cut a 1/2-inch length of gold heavy French wire to fit around the exposed part of the pearl. Slip the French wire onto your thread and place a gold-filled leverback with fleur de lis over the French wire so that it sits in the center of the wire. Bring your thread through the last Crystal teardrop in the pattern to curve the French wire around the top of the pearl. Take your thread through the Delicas, dangle and bicones to give the perimeter of the beaded pattern more structure. When you reach the last Delica in the pattern, bring your thread through the first Crystal teardrop in the pattern and knot and trim your thread between the teardrop and the pearl.

Repeat these steps to create the other earring.
