Wire-wrapping beads onto open frames is so much fun. The shape of these frames remind me of a Chrysalis hiding beautiful butterfly wings within, just waiting to emerge.
Fire-polished beads create mesmerizing patterns within Nunn Design wire frames in these earrings. These wire-wrapped earrings are easy to create and you can get creative with the colors of the beads and the shapes you make within the frame. Make this design your own and find your favorite Fire-Polish colors to display.
Cut a length of 24 gauge Silver Artbeads Designer Wire approximately 12 inches long. Coil one end of the wire around the Nunn Design silver-plated brass large wire frame navette pendant, toward the top and just under the loop. Coil it around the frame about 2-3 times.
Add two 4mm Czech glass opaque mustard orange faceted round beads, one fire-polished 4mm bead in ColorTrends Pacifica Macadamia, one fire-polished 4mm bead in ColorTrends Pacifica Strawberry, and one fire-polished 6mm bead in ColorTrends Saturated Metallic Greenery. Make a mirror image of the bead pattern on the other side of the green bead. Curve your wire within the frame and coil the wire a few times around the same side of the frame.
Add a mustard bead, a Macadamia bead, four Strawberry beads, a Macadamia bead, and a mustard bead to the wire. Curve your wire within the frame, so that this row of beads nests just under the first curve. Coil the wire a few times around the same side of the frame.
Add a mustard bead, a Macadamia bead, two Strawberry beads, a Macadamia bead, and a mustard bead to the wire. Curve your wire within the frame, so that this row of beads nests just under the last curve. Coil the wire a few times around the frame.
Add a Strawberry bead, a green bead, and a Strawberry bead to the wire. Curve your wire within the frame and coil the wire a few times around the frame. Trim your wire and tuck the end to the back of the earring.
Cut another length of Designer Wire and coil the end 2-3 times around the bottom of the wire frame.
Add a mustard bead, a green bead, and a mustard bead to the wire. Curve the wire so that it curves toward the other side of the frame, away from your first set of curves. Coil the wire a few times around the wire.
Add a Strawberry bead, a mustard bead, a Macadamia bead, a mustard bead, and a Strawberry bead to the wire. Curve these beads just over your last curve and coil the wire a few times on the opposite side of the frame. Trim your wire and tuck the end to the back of the earring.
Adjust your curves to fill the space of the frame the way you want. We domed our curves up slightly to give the earring dimension.
Open the loop of a French hook earwire with 3mm stardust bead and attach it to the top of your pendant. Close the loop.
Repeat steps 1-10 to make the other earring. Make sure to mirror the design you made on the first earring.

Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown
