Step-by-Step Instructions Expand All Steps

Cut a strand of jewelry wire to your desired length, keeping in mind that the final necklace will be connected with short lengths of the 11x7.5mm antique brass-plated textured and plain link chain. Our strand of jewelry wire is approximately 16 inches long. Crimp one end of the wire to a 5.5mm antique brass-plated 21 gauge open jump ring using a 14k/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube and a 14k/20 gold-filled 2.5mm crimp cover.

String five blue daisy jasper 15x20mm drum beads onto the strand, followed by a JBB antique brass-plated brass flower bush hollow round bead. Then, string on three more drum beads and another hollow flower bush bead. Add another three drum beads and hollow flower bush bead, then finish the strand with five drum beads. Crimp the other end to a 5.5mm jump ring using a crimp tube and cover.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately half of an inch longer than your first strand. Crimp the end to a 5.5mm jump ring using a crimp tube and cover. Then, string on a random pattern of Dakota Stones blue apatite 6mm faceted roundel beads, Dakota Stones blue apatite 4mm round beads, JBB 4.9mm antique brass-plated pewter daisy spacers and TierraCast brass oxide pewter 3mm faceted heishi spacers. We grouped the gemstone beads together and then grouped the daisy and heishi spacers together in random numbers. Crimp the other end of the strand to a 5.5mm jump ring using a crimp tube and cover.

Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately 1 1/2 inches longer than your first strand. Crimp the end to a 5.5mm jump ring using a crimp tube and cover. Then, string on a random pattern of Dakota Stones lapis lazuli 4mm round beads, 6mm blue apatite roundels, 4mm blue apatite round beads, Czech glass 15x12mm multi-colored with Picasso finish oval bird beads and Czech glass 8mm opaline green blue with Picasso finish faceted round beads. We used the Czech glass beads as accents to the smaller gemstone beads. Crimp the other end of the strand to a 5.5mm jump ring using a crimp tube and cover.

Connect the ends of all three strands using an 8mm antique brass-plated open jump ring. Repeat on the other end of the strands.

Add a length of chain to the 8mm jump ring on each end of the strands, so that your necklace is the desired length. We used nine links of chain on each end. Attach half of the JBB antique vintage brass-plated pewter 3 petal leaf toggle clasp to the end of each chain length using an 8mm jump ring.
