Tangerine crystal color is such a juicy hue, as the name implies. Cynthia used the color as the start of her flat spiral stitch and contrasted the eye-catching orange with deep metallic purple tones. The result is a bracelet that will put you in mind of fresh fruits and summer sunsets. Learn how to make this bracelet and then make sure to visit Psychology of Colors page to see more Tangerine inspiration and discover how this hue can complement the person you are.
You will be making a flat spiral stitch to create this bracelet. Please watch our Flat Spiral Rope Video Tutorial below for help with this stitch. To start, string on two 6mm faceted rounds in Tangerine for the beads in the center of the flat spiral stitch. You could also use the 6mm Tangerine bicones listed in our Perfect Product Pairings below for a similar look. Then, add one TOHO 11/0 bead round in higher-metallic royal purple, one TOHO 11/0 bead round in gold-lustered violet, two TOHO 11/0 bead rounds in gilt-lined sunset orange, and a TOHO 11/0 bead round in luminous melon lined crystal. Add a 3mm bicone in Tangerine and then make a mirror image of the seed bead pattern on the other side of the bicone. These beads will frame the center crystals on each side within the stitch. Watch our video tutorial to continue the stitch until your bracelet is the desired length.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
