I think the rich color of the Velvet Brown Pearl looks wonderful with the lighter gold elements in this bracelet. The clamshell clasp is a subtle ocean touch.
Cheri loved combining luxurious Velvet Brown pearls from Swarovski with the luxurious accents of gold in this bracelet. When adding the clasp, she wanted something that would move well when worn. She made sure to use wire guards to not only give her piece the movement she wanted but also to protect her jewelry wire. You can learn about more of our favorite findings in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately ten inches. Slide a 14K/20 gold-filled 2x2mm crimp tube onto the end, followed by a gold-plated cable and stringing thimble wire guard. Add half of the gold-plated 13mm magnetic clamshell clasp to the wire guard before bringing your wire through the rest of the wire guard and back through the crimp tube. Crimp in place and hide the crimp with a 3mm gold-plated crimp cover.
Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
