Cynthia taught our graphics designer, Tatiana, all about how to make jewelry. She made sure Tatiana knew the basics, like stringing, crimping, and how to open and close jump rings. This is the bracelet she made with Cynthia's help. Take a look at the instructions for this piece and learn the basics, too. If you're an experienced beader, this project makes a nice refresher. Watch Tatiana and Cynthia make simple bracelets in this Artbeads Cafe episode.
Cut a length of jewelry wire approximately ten inches long. Slide a sterling silver 2x2mm crimp tube onto one end, followed by a 6mm 18 gauge silver-plated open jump ring attached to half of the TierraCast antique silver classic clasp set. Bring the wire back through the crimp tube and crimp in place. For help opening jump rings and crimping, make sure to watch the Artbeads Cafe episode where Cynthia teaches Tatiana the basics. Nice choice! All or most of the products needed for this project are shown below with quantities. Sometimes we sell out of components and aren’t able to order more from the manufacturer (we know, it is very disappointing to us, too). Use the opportunity to mix up the design and make it yours by substituting similar products or altering the entire color scheme—it’s up to you!
